Description of Event/Crime : On Thursday September 1, 2011 Vice
detectives conducted an in-call prostitution operation at 13031 Central
NE. A "date" was made and Malyka Shively was arrested for prostitution.
While taking her into custody, Khalid Shaheed was seen in the area and
appeared to be her pimp. Khalid was detained and questioned. Moments
later, a Cadillac Escalade arrived with two of Khalid's friends (one of
which was Ledale Miles).
After extensive questioning, it was determined Khalid and Ledale were
promoting prostitution and were running two girls. All persons drove to
Albuquerque from Phoenix, AZ for the purposes of conducting
prostitution. The Vice Detectives seized $3005.00 from Khalid's pocket
as proceeds from the prostitution ring.
Khalid and Ledale were booked for promoting prostitution and the FBI
will be following up on Human Trafficking charges for crossing state
lines with the intent to promote prostitution.
