Description of Event/Crime : On 12/8/10, Det was assigned an identity
theft complaint from Pennsylvania. A known subject had stolen the
complainant's personal information and was living in Albuquerque.
Through investigation, Det determined the offender had obtained an
issued NM ID card in the victim's name, as well as various accounts.)
Det obtained a possible address for the offender. Det went to that
address and began surveillance. Berardi was then seen leaving her
residence and she was apprehended and arrested. Berardi confessed to
stealing wallet and obtaining the NM ID card by fraudulent means.
Berardi was arrested and booked into MDC.
