Description of Event/Crime : Foothills Officers and Detectives were
dispatched to 12500 Yorba Linda SE reference to a domestic violence
shooting. While enroute officers recieved information about the offender
Shawn Roman Kirby and his description. They also learned the victim had
left the residence looking for the offender. Officer was in the area and
immediately located the offender and took the offender into custody.
Commander located the victim who fled from officers in an attempt to
locate the offender. The victim was transported to the hospital with
non-life threatening injuries. Upon further investigation it was
determined Shawn Roman Kirby is a career violent convicted felon who had
just been released from prison. Foothills Impact contacted the ATF Task
Force who is assisting in Federal Charges for a Violent Convicted Felon
in possession of a firearm. Impact Detectives are currently executing a
search warrant on the residence to process the scene and collect
potential evidence.
