Description of Event/Crime : Victim returned home after a short jog to
find the offender (Cooley) inside his residence wearing some of the
victim's clothing. After a short struggle (where victim was punched in
the face) Cooley fled the scene on foot. Detectives from the Burglary
Unit and Region I Narcotics Task Force were working a joint-operation in
the area and were able to locate Cooley. He did give a full confession
to the burglary. It should be noted Cooley has a history of property
crimes arrests dating back to 2002, and was armed with a knife during
the encounter.
