OPERATION SAFE WORKPLACE:
APD has developed a partnership with businesses in Albuquerque and a
curriculum to prevent workplace violence. In a collaborative effort
between APD and the business community, Sgt. Paul Szych, Lt. Mike
Archibeque and Dr. Troy Rodgers have been conducting ongoing "Operation
Safe Workplace" seminars. The training is in response to both community
and business leaders requesting APD's assistance in light of past
workplace violence incidents. Our training focuses on:
PART 1 - Predicting/preventing high-lethality events (Sgt. Szych)
PART 2 - Active Shooter (Lt. Archibeque)
PART 3 - Who is most likely to become violent (Dr. Rodgers)
Thanks to Robert Fox of the APD Video Unit, we now have all three
presentations on DVD ready for dissemination.
Any area command receiving corporate requests for workplace violence
training can request these DVD's to provide to those businesses. If
your corporation would like a copy of this DVD please contact your local
area command substation for a copy.
