The APD DWI Superblitz period that ran from July 4th – July 8th resulted in 64 DWI arrests and 11 vehicle seizures.
A total of 14 of those arrests occurred at the two checkpoints that were conducted during that time period.
The 11 vehicle seizures indicate that those 11 drivers were repeat DWI offenders who each had at least one prior DWI arrest.
APD would like to remind citizens to drink responsibly and refrain from drinking and driving. Use a designated driver, call for a ride or Taxi or use one of the many services available to get you home safely. Plan Ahead.
