APD will be present at the Operation OPT OUT Event this afternoon. OPT OUT is a collaborative effort involving law enforcement and prevention/intervention providers to encourage elementary, middle and high school students to stay out of gangs. OPT OUT team members visit the homes of youth identified as at-risk for gang involvement to talk directly to the youth and his/her parents about the dangers of gang membership.
