Silver Alert Has Been Activated


Albuquerque – The Albuquerque Police Department has activated its Silver Alert notification system and is requesting the public's help in locating a missing person who is suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia.

Silver Alert is a public notification system to broadcast information about missing persons who suffer from Alzheimer's disease or dementia. The alert is only activated if there is reason to believe that if the person's life is at risk if they go unfound. Currently, information about this person is being displayed on the city's electronic billboards and peopling living in the area where the person was last seen are receiving phone calls. APD is also actively searching for the person.

Circumstances:Stated she was going to walk about the residence grounds and was found to be missing. Front gate was found open and it is a possibility that she may have gotten into a pick-up truck at landscaping business north of the residence.
