Description of Event/Crime : The victim was warming up his vehicle when the offender Miguel Chavez got into the vehicle and left. The owner noticed his vehicle gone so he called the police. Officer J Martinez responded and put out a descrpition of the vehicle and Officer D Padilla was enroute to the area. Officer Padilla noticed a vehicle that matched the descrpition and did a u-turn got in behind the vehichle and confirmed to be the same vehicle. Officer Padilla followed the vehicle until the offender wrecked the vehicle. Officer Padilla was able to get the driver into custody. The driver was found to have two small bags of what appeared to be Meth and Heroin. Both items were field tested positive, there was also a jiggle key found on his possession. I was able to get him to confess he took the vehicle without permission.
