Description of Event/Crime : Laquonte Barry was in possession of a stolen IPhone belonging to Kyle Elliott which was taken from Kyle's bag at Johnson Gym. Laquonte later posted the IPhone on Craigslist which was responded by William Ramsey. Laquonte sold the stolen IPhone to William Ramsey for $350 by fraudulently telling him that the phone was legit, and not stolen. Laquonte became jumpy when William asked him to wait while he checked if the phone was operable through Verizon. Laquonte said he was late for meeting, and immediately left. William purchased the phone, and later attempted to activate it through Verizon wireless. Verizon employees advised William that the phone was reported stolen by Wendy Elliott (Mother of Kyle). After I completed the arrest warrant, Laquonte was located in Rio Rancho NM with the assistance of Rio Rancho Police. Laquonte had a total of 4 postings on Craigslist for several IPhones using his same contact phone number. Officer S.
