Description of Event/Crime : The Street Level Gang Unit conducted a Tac
Plan along with APD SRO's at Highland High School due to threats of gang
related violence. A fight between two rival gang members had sparked a
near riot on 11/18 and the Highland Principal had requested help. The
Street Team maintained a highly visible presence in and around Highland
thru 11/28 during school days. This presence helped to diffuse the
situation. In addition, approx. 8 gang members were identified and
documented, and officers were able to make 2 Misd arrests for gang
members that came on campus who were not students.
