Description of Event/Crime : On November 14th 2011 a residential
Burglary occurred at 9600 Central Sw. During the Burglary an alert
neighbor scared away the two female offenders who were loading a TV that
they had just stolen from the residence. The neighbor got a vehicle
description of a Gold Alero but was unable to get a license plate.
On November 17th 2011 the females returned to the same location and
attempted another residential Burglary. Another Alert neighbor called
police and gave a description of a Gold Alero with a NM license plate
number. BUST Detectives followed up this lead and through investigation
was able to identify Maria Garcia-Marquez as one of the offenders. An
arrest warrant was obtained. Detectives believed that Dolores Valdez
was the other offender in the aforementioned Burglary but did not have
enough evidence for a warrant.
On today's date BUST Detectives located Maria Garcia-Marquez and
arrested her on the outstanding Burglary Warrant. Dolores Valdez was
with Garcia-Marquez and she was arrested for three misdemeanor warrants.
During an interview, Dolores Valdez admitted being involved in the
Burglary at 9600 Central SW and she was booked for Burglary as well.
