APD catches purse snatcher

Description of Event/Crime : Victim was shopping at the Pros Ranch
Market when she exited the store and began to load her groceries into
her vehicle. A white Chevy Suburban pulled next to her, blocking her
between her basket and her vehicle. The driver identified as Brandon
Jaramillo, reached out from the drivers seat and pushed Charlotte then
grabbed her purse and fled the scene at a high rate of speed west on
Central towards Old Coors. A witness followed the vehicle and lost them
in the area of Central and Old Coors. A few minutes later, southwest
dispatch dispatched officers to a 45 involving a white SUV matching the
description of the offender vehicle. Officer Jojola diverted from the
original call and headed to the 45 after hearing two subjects had fled
from the accident. Officer Jojola was able to locate one of the
offenders named Justin Muniz. Justin was transported to UNMH after
complaints of back injury. The driver fled and reamined outstanding. A
few hours later dispatch received a call from the father of Brandon and
advised he was attempting to recover the wrecked vehicle from the towing
company. Brandon's father advised he had dropped Brandon off at the
Womens Hospital located at San Mateo and Montgomery. Officers were
dispatched and were able to locate Brandon Jaramillo who had a broken
ankle from the accident. Both subjects were arrested and booked one they
were released from the hospital. The offender vehicle was sealed pending
a search warrant as the victims property was seen inside the SUV.
