Description of Event/Crime : On 8-28-2011 an unknown subject parked in
the Wal-Mart parking lot at 10224 Coors NW driving a Gold Toyota with a
New Mexico License Plate LPJ509. The subject approached a fundraising
table run by a youth football team from National Youth Sports. He
grabbed approximately $600 in donated cash and fled the parking lot in
his vehicle. Detective Acosta took the case and was able to identify the
suspect as Troy Wilson. Detective Acosta tracked Wilson down on 9-6-2011
in Rio Rancho and interviewed him. Wilson confessed to the Larceny and
said he spent the money on gas and food. He was arrested and booked into
MDC.
