Description of Event/Crime : Offender was seen by employees of the Auto
Zone located at 2821 Carlisle NE stealing items from the store. When
the offender was confronted by store employees, the offender pointed a
revolver at the employees and fired one shot from the pistol. The
offender then fled the store to the Wal-Mart located at 2701 Carlisle
NE.
Officers responded to the Wal-Mart and setup a perimeter around the
store as the offender's exact location was unknown. After a perimeter
was set, the offender was seen by Wal-Mart employees inside the store.
Officers were then able to apprehend the offender without further
incident. The revolver was located on the offender.
The offender was later booked into MDC on Aggravated Assault and several
other felony charges.
