In response to the shootings in Colorado, Albuquerque Police Chief, Ray Schultz, has released a video statement to all movie theaters in the city. This video is currently being distributed to all theaters, giving them the option to play the short video for moviegoers prior to the showing of each film throughout the weekend. Chief Schultz would like to remind everyone that the incident in Aurora is believe to be an isolated act and encourages citizens to continue to enjoy local movie theaters. The Albuquerque Police Department will escalate security around the theaters throughout the weekend.
